'Small Boys In Niger Are Going To Be Laughing At Us & Saying Nigeria Said They Are Coming' – Sowunmi

A PDP Chieftain, Segun Sowunmi has alleged that the Ecowas and Nigeria have made themselves appear as a laughing stock after the elapsed 7 days ultimatum given to Niger Military coup leaders. He said in an interview with Channels Tv that Nigeria being the leader in Africa should have been more mature in his utterances in addressing the military coup leaders in Niger. 

He said, ”They have opened their mouths to make us look stupid by saying they are going to go into Niger. They have issued an ultimatum they cannot keep. Sunday has come and gone and you have made us look like a laughing stock. Some small boys in Niger are going to be laughing at us and saying Nigeria said they are coming and they did not come. They have shut down the border on us. 

Do you know what Nigeria is within Africa? Do you know what Nigeria is within West Africa? We can’t be going around fooling ourselves. Our responsibility is to be very guided in our utterances.”
