Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas recently shared details of Lionel Messi’s contract with the MLS club. Messi is expected to join the club as a free agent after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires on June 30. Mas said that Messi’s contract with the MLS club will earn the Argentine captain about 50–60 million dollars a year. In addition to the fixed salary, Messi will receive shares of Apple and Adidas as part of the contract. Mas said ( Forbes):
I spent three years and a year and a half very intensively on it. We talked a lot with Messi’s father and agent, Jorge. David Beckham only talked to Leo about football because he was a player.”

Lionel Messi is poised to raise the level of the MLS to new standards. While legends like Thiery Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Steven Gerrard, and Frank Lampard have played American football before, Messi is likely to bring more eye candy.
