N620 Per Litre: This is not What We Voted For – Tinubu Supporter Laments

Adamu Salihu, a resident of Kano, has bemoaned the increase and claimed that he and his family members supported President Bola Tinubu in the most recent election.

According to Daily Trust, in the early hours of Tuesday, the price of petrol, which had risen from N195 per litre to N530 when Tinubu removed the subsidy, reached N617 in Abuja and N620 in Kano.

Salihu, who identified himself as being from the State’s Bichi LGA, responded by saying he might be compelled to turn to crime.

“Honestly, this new price has hit us very hard,” he remarked. We did not vote for this. I cast my vote for the current administration along with my kids. What we are receiving is not what we requested.

“I deserve to be treated fairly because I am a Nigerian. I have children now, who also cast ballots, so I am no longer a young person. I will ask them to cease voting very soon if there is no change because they have stopped attending school and have started selling “Awara.”

“I forced them to leave school, and now they are selling ‘Awara’. How can they begin hawking after being denied an education? Since the NRC and SDP eras, I have been active in politics. We can take action if things keep going this way. if none of our lawmakers or reps take action. Even if we are law-abiding citizens, we have the ability to break the law.

“The increase in fuel prices is the cause of all the difficulty we are currently experiencing; otherwise, we wouldn’t be going through this. We lack strong representation.

According to the Daily Trust, after the price hike, petrol lines reappeared in Abuja, Kano, and other regions of the nation.
