INEC Failed To Produce Any Witness, Claiming Their Witness Disappointed Them – Kenneth Okonkwo

It is no longer news that the appeal launched by Mr. Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar disputing the announcement of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of February 25th has commenced hearings before the presidential election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja.

Both Mr. Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar have concluded presenting their cases after weeks of testimony before the tribunal.

INEC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, and Shettima are also expected to open their defense subsequently.

Kenneth Okonkwo, one of Mr. Peter’s lawyers and a former spokesperson for the Labour Party’s presidential campaign council, provided an update on today’s session. According to him, the Independent National Electoral college had failed to bring any witnesses at the resumption of the hearing.

Hear him ” Presidential Election Petition Court, INEC was scheduled to present their case today. They said their witness let them down, so they were unable to present any witness.” Kenneth Okonkwo stated in a tweet.
