I'm Reminding Peter Obi Now That No Fresh Documents Will Be Allowed In The Supreme Court' -Arabambi

After Peter Obi’s case against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was dismissed at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja on Wednesday, Abayomi Arabambi, the factional National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, advised him against proceeding to the Supreme Court.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former governor of Lagos State and current leader of the All Progressives Congress, as the winner of the presidential election over three other formidable candidates: Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

Both Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, had filed lawsuits challenging Tinubu’s victory before the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja. The tribunal dismissed both cases on Wednesday.

Abayomi Arabambi stated in an exclusive interview with the Punch paper, “I think going to the Supreme Court is just a pure waste of time.” He clarified that the Supreme Court doesn’t serve as a court of first instance in presidential cases and emphasized that no new evidence could be introduced at this stage.
