'If The NLC Say They Are Going To Shut The Nation Down, We Are Going To Take Them To Court' -Ajuri Ngelale

According to Ajuri Ngelale, President Bola Tinubu’s special media adviser, the Federal Government will sue the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) if it wants to impose a state of emergency without dealing with the country’s dire economic situation.

In an interview with Channels TV, he claimed that the FG cannot currently meet some of the NLC’s demands because they are unreasonable. We need to be practical, he continued, and we won’t make promises to people we can’t keep. If we don’t have the resources to carry out what Labor is advising us to do, we will let them know.

But if the NLC says they are going to shut the nation down because of the money they know is not available, then we are going to look them in the eyes and we will take them to court and test the case before a Judge.”
