If you were made the running mate to Atiku, will you be fighting for the south?- Momodu to Wike

Chief Dele Momodu, Former Presidential Aspirant, PDP, asked that if Nyesom Wike, FCT minister, was made the running mate to Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election, would he be fighting for the south?

Dele Momodu asked the rhetorical question in an interview with Channels TV, during the Paradigm program when he was asked that the crisis in the PDP, and who is responsible for it, because some people are saying that the ambition of two men has put the party in the situation that it is right now, and that the APC now seems very comfortable.

Dele Momodu responded that he is a media man and a student of history, therefore he can say that the crises in the APC are more than the crises in PDP but because the principal actor in PDP is so volatile, uncontrollable and inconsolable, they are ready to pull down the roof of the house.

“In PDP today, how many people are fighting? Principally, one man, Nyesom Wike…”

Dele Momodu said Wike saying he is fighting for the south is a convenient excuse but the question is which south?

“If you were made the running mate to our candidate, Atiku Abubakar , would you be fighting for the south? When our party primaries were thrown open and all of us were allowed to buy forms for presidential election candidacy, why did you agree to buy, why didn’t you protest?.who were the people who set up the committee, panel that took the decision that it should be thrown open?”
