If Tinubu Doesn't Do Anything About Niger, More Coups Will Happen And Its Not Good For Us – Adeniyi

Professor Abiodun Adeniyi has come out to speak in support of the sanctions placed on Niger by ECOWAS and Nigeria after the military Junta took over power in the country.

According to Professor Abiodun Adeniyi who appeared in an interview on Arise TV, President Tinubu after his inauguration as president of Nigeria promised to do everything in his power to support democracy in the West African sub region and as such, he cannot sit back and watch the military oust a civilian government in a neighboring country.

In his own words as seen on Arise TV…

“I remember that when Tinubu because President, he said that democracy will be fostered in the sub region, it will be resisted and deterred largely. He also went to the A.U and repeated it. Suddenly we had a coup so you don’t expect him to rest on his laurels and not to ride on the momentum of his earlier postulations on how much his administration will detest coups.”

“So what I see ECOWAS doing is not that they are going to attack Niger or anything like that. I don’t see that happening, they are simply just muscle flexing, simply gumbo diplomacy which is legitimate in international relations. Now if Tinubu doesn’t do anything about Niger, more coups will happen and it’s not good for us.”
