If Peter Obi Says He Won The Election, Where Does That Leave Atiku Who Also Says He Won? -Adebayo Shittu

Former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Oyo State, Adebayo Shittu, has recently stated that the presidential candidates of the Labour Party and the People’s Democratic Party, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, respectively, must first prove who garnered more votes before claiming victory in the election.

During a recent interview in a video (42:00) on Channels Television’s “Sunrise Daily” this morning, Shittu pointed out the conflicting claims made by Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi regarding the election results.

He stated, “Atiku Abubakar is asserting that he should have been declared the winner of the election, while Labour Party’s Peter Obi is also claiming that he should have been declared the winner. If Peter Obi says he won the election, where does that leave Atiku, who also insists he won? Between the two of them, they will need to present figures that demonstrate who received the higher number of votes before making any claims about winning the election against President Tinubu.”
