If Peter Obi & Datti had not been in LP, I wonder where Apapa and others would have been- Tanko

Dr Yunusa Tanko, Labour Party chieftain, said that if Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed had not been in Labour Party, he wondered where Lamidi Apapa and others would have been.

Yunusa Tanko made the statement in an interview with Arise during the day program when he was asked to react to the reaction of Lamidi Apapa faction, which is kicking against the affirmation of Abure as Labour Party national chairman by the Benin court, and that they insist Abuja high court restraining order on Abure and recognise Lamidi Apapa as the acting national chairman is still intact.

Yunusa said probably Apapa is not aware that the particular case has also been taken to court and it had been kept in abeyance until there is judgement in appeal court. He revealed that the appeal court will seat very soon. Yunusa then clarified that accusation of forgery by Arabambi acclaimed group has no “locus standi” and that there is nothing like the forensic report of the signature forgery they spoke about, because they got the actual one which has nullified their own.

He then said that Labour Party is still open for Julius Abure, Lamidi Apapa and others, and they should just come in and apologise for their mistakes, however, they’ll treat them according to party constitution.

“But if they stay on the other side, remember they only have Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed to give gratitude to, because if these individuals(Obi & Datti) have not been in the party(LP), I wonder where they would have been”
