‘ I don’t recognize Tinubu as president yet, we are still in court ‘- Afenifere leader, Ayo Adebanjo

The leader of Afenifere Group, Chief Ayo Adebanjo has revealed that he do not recognize Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the country’s first citizen until the Election Tribunal give its final verdict as regards the February 25th presidential election.

He made this known during a programme on ARISE TV of recent, while reiterating that the election which produced Tinubu as the president was not free and fair.

In summary, he said: ” Afenifere’s stance for now is not to comment on Tinubu’s administration because we believe that the elections are not completed yet; it is still in progress and that is why we are in court. Therefore, commenting on someone who is there and who we do not believe should be there until the final decision of the court would be probative and re-probative. We are not talking about his ability, we are talking about the process of his getting there which is flawed. I refuse to comment on somebody that is not existing yet until the final arbiter of the court. Our party might be wrong but that is our own stance. I cannot recognize him in an office that I believe does not exist “.
