IF Anybody Is Going To Rig Election, Will He Not Rig His Place?-PDP Stalwart, Idahosa Defend Tinubu

A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State, Charles Idahosa has defended the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu after it was alleged by the Labour Party that he rigged the 2023 Presidential election.

Recall that according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu defeated other strong contenders including Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP to clinch the apex political seat in the country.

The presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar are currently challenging the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja. The presidential election Tribunal commenced sitting few weeks ago to hear the cases by the parties.

According to The Sun paper, Charles Idahosa In a recent interview said; “The president, Tinubu, has been sworn in and the court is sitting. Look at the timing that Onaiyekan spoke, when we are waiting for the judgment of the court? They must have shopped for this kind of statement at this critical time.”

He added; “An election where Tinubu lost Lagos, somebody would come out to say that, if anybody is going to rig elections, will he not rig his place? An election where Buhari lost Katsina, 10 sitting governors lost senate seats, that means their states were divided into three and they couldn’t win and somebody would come and say this is the worst election”
