I Watched Gunmen Kill My Husband — Mother Of 3 Narrates
Mrs. Osareniye Solomon, the wife of the late Ehinoma Solomon, who was the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Oke-Oroma community, has shared the harrowing details of her husband’s murder. The incident occurred last Saturday after a church service in Benin City, Edo State.
According to Mrs. Solomon, her husband was killed in front of their three children and herself, right in front of the church premises in the Ikpoba Okha LGA. She recounted that after the church service around 11 a.m., her husband informed her of his departure and went outside. Tragically, moments later, a gunshot was heard within the premises. Terrified, her daughter rushed back into the church. Her husband attempted to escape but was surrounded by around ten armed individuals who approached his car. They gunned him down mercilessly and proceeded to inflict machete wounds on him.
To add insult to injury, the assailants stole his phone and ATM card before fleeing the scene. Mrs. Solomon also revealed that three days prior to her husband’s murder, he had received a chilling text message on his phone from an unknown number, warning him that he and two others were marked for death before the end of the year.
In her plea for justice, Mrs. Solomon urged the relevant authorities and the state government to ensure that her husband’s killers are apprehended and made to face the full extent of the law. The Edo State Police Command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, assured the public that investigations are underway to track down and arrest the perpetrators of this heinous crime………………..CONTINUE READING
