I Stand With President Tinubu On Niger Republic – Labour Party Chieftain, Doyin Okupe Declares.

Doyin Okupe, a former Director-General of the Labour Party (LP)/Peter Obi-Datti presidential campaign council, has shown his support for President Bola Tinubu’s proposed military intervention in Niger Republic.

According to Sahara Reporters, Okupe expressed his views on Twitter, using the hashtag #WeStandWithTinubuOnNiger. He emphasized the importance of uniting in defense of the country, regardless of who the president is.

Okupe commended Tinubu for fighting for democracy in West Africa. He criticized the military leadership in Niger for disrespecting the Nigerian President and breaking diplomatic relations.

Okupe stated that his support for Obi in the past demonstrates his willingness to take unpopular positions based on his belief in national interest.

He asserted that patriotism is not dependent on winning elections or who is in power but is an unwavering commitment to protecting a nation’s sovereignty and integrity.

Some supporters of Peter Obi on Twitter, known as Obidients, have criticized Okupe for supporting Tinubu’s move.
