BAT: Atiku Abubakar has made the duty of presidential election tribunal too tedious–Adesunbo Onitiri

Chief Adesunbo Onitiri, a socio-political activist and critic recently said that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party was making the duty of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal more tedious.

This was reported by The Sun paper in a statement made by Chief Adesunbo Onitiri that was shared with the public. To give you some background, in the previous general elections, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, a government organization responsible for overseeing elections, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State and leader of the All Progressives Congress, won the highest political position in the country. He beat other strong contenders, including Peter Obi from the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

Peter Obi from the Labour Party and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party, are challenging the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria. People in Nigeria are waiting to hear what the judges will decide after they listen to all the complaints.

Chief Adesunbo Onitiri reacted to this situation by saying, “The election already happened, and a winner became president. Now that we’re waiting to see what happens with the petition against President Tinubu’s election, Atiku should stop saying things that hurt Nigerians’ feelings.”

He also added, “Atiku (Abubakar) is making things hard for the Presidential Election Tribunal and indirectly trying to make people think a certain way about what the tribunal will decide.”
