Nyesom Wike, a minister for the federal capital territory (FCT), reacted to the decision in the presidential election petition. Despite the fact that Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar were absent, he said he spent at least ten hours in court. He continued to say that the 2023 presidential election was a difficult one and that the judiciary deserves credit for bringing important issues to the public’s attention. Nyesom Wike also emphasized his belief in equality, justice, and judgment. President Bola Tinubu and his vice were praised by him, and he expressed his admiration for him. The election petition, he said, is not propaganda but a presentation of facts.
Nyesom Wike said that although he was not surprised by the number of votes labour party presidential candidate Peter Obi received, we should commend INEC for a well-done job during the election. In a statement he made, he said, “i am aware that peter obi will lose the presidency.”
