I have already made a broadcast so I do not want to go through the question of subsidy any more– BAT

During a press conference, President Bola Tinubu expressed that further discussion on the subsidy problem was unnecessary, as he had previously addressed it in a broadcast. He also expressed regret that the acting National Chairman had addressed the problem, suggesting that it might not have been the ideal approach.

President Bola made this announcement during a meeting of the National Executive Committee on Thursday. Following the meeting, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the former governor of Kano State, and Senator Ajibola Basiru, the spokesperson for the ninth Senate, were appointed as the national chairman and secretary of the APC, respectively.

“Nigeria is currently facing numerous challenges,” President Tinubu stated, “and I believe it’s time to stop debating the subsidy matter. I have consistently mentioned my principle and belief on this issue in my broadcasts, and the Acting National Chairman has also addressed it.”

To achieve successful restructuring of the nation’s economy and government, President Tinubu emphasized the need for direct attention to this issue. He stressed that all initiatives that have been eliminated must be reimagined to work for the people rather than against them.
