How Popular Nigerian Senator Allegedly Stole $41. 8million During His Tenure As Governor [DETAILS]
Nigerian Senator, Chimaroke Nnamani, has been accused of embezzling and misappropriating $41. 8 million during his tenure as governor of Enugu State and using the illegitimate wealth to acquire luxury properties in Florida, according to a statement released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.

The 2009 complaint obtained by the Peoples Gazette revealed that Nnamani, who was identified by the FBI as an American citizen, conspired with his sister Chinero Nwigwe to steal public funds when he govern Enugu state between May 1999 and May 2007.
Peter Mbah, Sam Ejiofor, and Chika Ohaa are also listed in the court documents as conspirators with Mr. Nnamani.
The FBI said, Nnamani, a doctor, stole $41, 868, 877. 05 in one of the illegal schemes he initiated as governor of Enugu.
The authorities claimed that the money was about 5. 3 billion Naira at the time, but now it is about 31 billion Naira.
The document reads in part, ” Chimaroke Nnamani’ s official salary as governor is the equivalent of $10, 670 per year; thus, it appears unlikely that Nnamani possesses an adequate source of legitimate income to account for the purchase of the lush real estate he amassed in Florida” .
