I Expected That The President In The First 2 Weeks Will Put His Cabinet List Out There – Dumebi Kachikwu

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Dumebi Kachikwu, has said that all his life, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wanted to be President, so he expected him to release his list of ministerial nominees in his first two weeks in office, so that Nigerians could start vetting the people that would be part of his cabinet. Daily Trust reported on Tuesday July 18th, that Kachikwu said this during an interview with Arise TV.

He said – “I don’t know how to understand a President who wanted the position all his life can afford to act in the manner that suggests he doesn’t have the sense of urgency towards solving problems.

“I personally expected the President in his first two weeks would have to put his cabinet list out there for Nigerians to start vetting these people. I expected to hear and see a lot of policy statements in areas that are pressing.”

In the past few days, there have been a lot of discussions online surrounding Tinubu’s ministerial list, as a lot of people are waiting to see the people that will be part of his cabinet.

A presidential source who spoke with Vanguard on Tuesday July 18th, on condition of anonymity said that the list of ministerial nominees has since been ready, but the President has made some changes in some states.

The source said that the list is expected to be forwarded to the National Assembly between Wednesday and Thursday except there is any development that could delay it again further.
