I Do Not Know What N2m Would Do For A Holiday – Senator Ningi Reacts To Senator's Holiday Allowance

The Senator representing Bauchi Central senatorial district, Senator Abdul Ningi, has criticized the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, for publicly announcing holiday allowance for senators.

Senator Abdul Ningi went on to say that he does not know what N2 million will do for senators in a holiday. According to Vanguard paper, Senator Abdul Ningi said that he finds it very difficult to understand what the money is for.

Vanguard paper reported that Senator Abdul Ningi claimed that he has not received his own N2 million. However, he confirmed that some of his colleagues received their own N2 million. Senator Abdul Ningi said that he is expecting his own money.

Recall that Akpabio, at the end of the screening of ministerial nominees, last weekend, announced on the floor of the Senate that recess allowances had been sent to the members.

Senator Abdul Ningi described Akpabio’s action as embarrassing and also made some statement that suggests that he believes that the N2 million is too little for holiday allowance.
