After I finished watching Wike's interview last night, I immediately called Mr Okinbaloye–Momodu

Dele Momodu, a former Director of Communications for Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa’s Presidential Campaign during the February 25th presidential election, has responded to statements made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, during an interview with Channels Television.

According to a report by Thisday paper online, Momodu expressed his disagreement with several points made by Wike and raised questions regarding the accuracy of Wike’s statements, particularly on the issue of when he realized that the presidential ticket should go to the southern region.

In his statement, Momodu suggested that Wike was not entirely truthful in the interview and characterized some of Wike’s statements as “arrogant lies.” Momodu also expressed a desire to respond to Wike’s assertions and offered to do so in a television interview if he were in Nigeria. This exchange shows the ongoing discussions and debates within political circles and the media regarding party discipline, power dynamics, and the internal politics of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria.

Dele Momodu said; “After watching this interview last night, I immediately called Mr Seun Okinbaloye of the Channels TV. I told him I wished I was in Nigeria and would have come to respond to the many arrogant lies that he allowed Minister Nyesom Wike to get away with during his interview.”
