I Am Pleased With Tinubu’s Ministerial Picks from Southeast – Ben Kalu

According to Dailypost, Ben Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has dismissed reports that some southeast leaders are unhappy with the persons picked for ministerial roles by President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement released through his spokesperson, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Kalu said the reports are false, endorsing ministerial nominees from the region.

The president nominated Dave Umahi, Nkiruka Onyejeocha, Uju Ken Ohaneye, Doris Uzoka and Uche Nnaji from the five states in the southeast. The five were confirmed by the Senate.

He said, “In order to protect the sanity of the general public, the Deputy Speaker is hereby declares that the report is not just an overflow of misinformation, baseless stories, and extreme falsehood, but also the exaggerated imagination of both the people and the source that established it. I am please with Tinubu’s ministerial picks from Southeast.”

Kalu also denied the report that he is working with some Southeastern politicians to oppose the president’s ministerial nominations.
