How Can Someone From Kalabari Be Controlling Pipeline In Ogoni? There Is No Way It Will Work – Gov Fubara

Today, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, led a delegation on the security of oil and gas assets to the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital. The executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminialayi Fubara, reacted to the visit.

The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Siminialayi Fubara had stated on his verified Twitter page; ‘Today, we received a high powered delegation led by the National Security Adviser, Malam @NuhuRibadu, and a host of Ministers which include Defence, Mohammed Badaru, Defence (State), @Bellomatawalle1, Minister of State, Gas, Ekperipe Ekpo, Minister of State, Petroleum, @DrLokpobiri, the Group Chief Executive Officer of @nnpclimited and a host of top military

Further, the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party said, “Their visit afforded us the opportunity to table critical national issues relating to oil assets and investments.”

While hosting the delegation, Governor Siminialayi Fubara was quoted by Channels Television as criticising the Federal Government of Nigeria for awarding the contract to “One Man” to ensure the safety of the pipelines.

“Pipeline security should not be given to one man or one person,” Governor Siminialayi Fubara remarked. Where did this person from Kalabari come from that now controls the Ogoni pipeline? It will obviously not work. All the influential people from the different groups need to get together.

He said, “The petroleum ministry is run by two of our sons from Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom. We hope they succeed. They need our help, and we must provide it.
