Gunmen Kidnap BEDC Employee, Seun Emmanuel In Ondo

Mr Seun Emmanuel, a Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) employee, was kidnapped in Ondo State by gunmen suspected of being kidnappers.

Emmanuel, an electricity company driver, and his boss, Andrew Okojie, Product Manager, Postpaid for BEDC, Ondo Region, were attacked while returning to Akure, the state capital, from Ifon in the state’s Ose Local Government Area.

The official vehicle they were traveling in, a BEDC branded Hilux van, was shot at, causing the driver to lose control after a bullet hit his tyre and summersault into the bush.

The abductors whisked the driver into the bush after his boss, Okojie, fell unconscious and was believed to have died at the hands of the gunmen.

When contacted on Thursday, Funmilayo Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident.

She stated that the state command’s anti-kidnapping unit had taken over the case and would ensure the victim’s release.

“We are looking into it.” “Our men in the anti-kidnapping unit are working hard to save the victim,” the PPRO said.
