The ousted President of Gabon, Ali Bongo, has begged his international allies to come to his aid following a recent coup that rocked the country. It should be noted that Ali Bongo has been the Gabonese President since 2009, until Wednesday’s coup that ousted him

In a video shared by the Punch paper their official Facebook page, the ousted president said, “My name is Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of Gabon. I am sending a message to all friends that we have all over the world to tell them to make noise, for the people here have arrested me and my family.”

“My son is somewhere, my wife is in another place, and I’m at the residence. Right now I’m at the residence, and nothing is happening. I don’t know what is going on. I’m calling you to make noise. I’m thanking you. Thank you.
