A Former Permanent Representative to the African Union Mission in Washington, Dr. Arikana Chihombori Quao has alleged that France forcing Niger to send all its Natural resources could be referred to as a coup. She said in an interview with Arise Tv news that the Ecowas should be talking about economic coups carried out against the Nigeriens in the last few years.

She said, ”I will want to ask the same people who are sitting at the table and having those discussions about having a military intervention in Nigeria. Let me remind you that there are other coups that we are not talking about that we should be talking about.

France forcing Niger to send all its Natural resources to France is a Coup. France having its own military in Niger and forcing Nigeriens that you can only be trained by France is a coup. By forcing Niger to deposit 50% of its reserves with France is a Coup. The question that I have for those sitting during those Ecowas meetings is, What have you done about those Coups?”
