Former Minister Warns That PDP's Survival Depends on Embracing Opposition Role Against APC.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is at risk of disappearing if it fails to embrace its new role as an opposition party against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), according to former Minister of Ation and PDP chieftain, Osita Chidoka.

Chidoka, who served under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, explained that the PDP did not effectively act as an opposition party during the previous 8 years of President Buhari’s reign because it believed it would quickly regain power.

However, with a politician as the current President of Nigeria, Chidoka emphasized that the PDP must embrace its role as an opposition party in order to survive and avoid extinction.

He stressed the need for the PDP to reform, reimagine, and reinvent itself, and urged the party to find new leadership that can effectively lead in an atmosphere of opposition.
