In Chelsea, the “Special One” worked miracles. Mourinho accepted the challenge in England after winning the UEFA Champions League with Porto. He was Chelsea’s most successful manager, winning six trophies in three years. This includes winning the league championship.
Furthermore, Mourinho’s Chelsea remained unbeaten in all home league games during that time period. Chelsea also set a league record by winning with the fewest goals conceded (15). His return to Chelsea in 2015 was historic.
His team won the league title just one year after re-joining Chelsea. Mourinho was named Manager of the Year, as Chelsea only lost three games all season.
The Portuguese manager then completed a hat trick with Manchester United.

3. Arsene Wenger – 3
Arsenal was successful under Arsene Wenger. Winning the Premier League title undefeated was one of his biggest and possibly best achievements as a manager. The Arsenal team of 2003 was dubbed as the “Invincibles” since they won the title undefeated.
The Frenchman also led Arsenal to seven FA Cup victories. During his managing career, he was named Premier League Manager of the Season three times.
2. Pep Guardiola – 5
In the five years after taking over at Manchester City, the Spanish manager has won the Premier League four times. He also has four Carabao Cups to his name. Furthermore, Pep Guardiola has transformed Manchester City into a consistent title contender in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
The presence of the Soanush on this list is not surprising. The award has been won three times by the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager.
1. Sir Alex Ferguson – 11
Sir Alex Ferguson, the indisputable winner, has won the most Manager of the Season accolades in Premier League history. This comes as no surprise given that he helped Manchester United become one of the top teams in the world. Manchester United won 13 league titles, five FA Cups, and two Champions Leagues under the Scottish boss.
He is also well-known for assisting Cristiano Ronaldo in reaching his peak performance. There is little doubt that no manager can currently break Sir Alex Ferguson’s record. The former Manchester United manager has won the accolade 11 times.
