'This Ruling Is A Great Victory For Nigeria Constitutional Democracy – Osinbajo Congratulates Tinubu
The immediate past Vice President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has reacted to the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday.
Recall that the presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar challenged the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja and their petitions have been struck out by the court last Wednesday. Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State has vowed to challenge the judgement at the apex court in the country.
Professor Yemi Osinbajo stated on his verified Facebook page; “Congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, and our great party the All Progressives Congress on the judicial affirmation of the victory at the Presidential election of February 25th 2023.”

The immediate past Vice President of Nigeria added; “This (Tribunal) ruling is a great victory for Nigeria’s constitutional democracy and it’s rule of law. The practice of democracy in our nation has been further strengthened by the fact that all parties faithfully followed the electoral process according to the law and relied on our courts in the event of dispute.”

He stated further; “Our Nation now needs all of us, to work together to address our challenges and to deliver the realization of the incredible potentials of our Nation.”
