When asked how he would respond to the issue of subsidy removal and its fallows in terms of its harsh effects on the Nigerian people, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, according to a Sun paper report, said this.

Some people complain even out of ignorance, but as a leader, your attention should be on the outcome of your actions, he said. There will undoubtedly be momentary suffering, but the outcome will outweigh it.

Even though some decisions are painful, you should think about whether they will ultimately lead to better outcomes. I’ll say it again: The removal of subsidies is in Nigerians’ best interests. The government must now keep its word and make sure the palliatives are wisely carried out. As soon as possible, the palliatives should be made available.
