The GDP Of All African Countries Ruled By Military Dictators Are Not Up That Of Lagos – Fani-Kayode

Amid the ongoing faceoff between the military junta in the Niger Republic and leaders of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS), All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, and former Ation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has taken to social media to warn Niger and its allies not to provoke Nigeria into an all out war with them.

In a lengthy tweet posted his verified Twitter handle on Sunday, August 6, FFK, who was a spokesman for the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, argued that not only does Nigeria possess superior military personnel and firepower compared to countries like Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali, a state like Lagos boasts of a better economy than all those nations put together.

Going further, the former ation minister warned Niger Republic and her allies not to mistake Nigeria’s diplomatic approach as a sign of weakness, insisting that the country is ready to go into battle with a host of countries and come out victorious.

He wrote; “The size of the economy and GDP of all the African countries ruled by military dictators put together, including Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, Sudan, Guinea, and Niger Republic are nowhere near that of Lagos alone.

The internally generated revenue of Lagos alone can comfortably fit them all together in her pocket without batting an eyelid.”

Quite interestingly, FFK’s tweet has generated a flurry of mixed reactions from a cross-section of Nigerians online, with many trooping to the comments section to share their thoughts.
