As President Tinubu chose him and two other people to replace Maryam Shetty’s nomination for a cabinet position, Festus Keyamo, a Nigerian lawyer and senior APC official, responded.
Recently, Festus Keyamo responded in a tweet posted on his official Twitter account.
Recall that Mr. President has now sent the senate 49 names of cabinet candidates for consideration. Nyesom Wike, Nasir El-Rufai, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, for example, have already visited the Senate for their screening. Festus Keyamo’s name was not mentioned either.
According to a source in the Nation paper, however, Senate President Godswill Akpabio said today during a plenary session that President Tinubu had removed Maryam Shetty and that he had chosen Festus Keyamo and two other persons. Akpabio did this while reading a letter from the President.
Festus Keyamo, who may have received the Nation paper story that his name was mentioned, responded by praising God and using dancing emojis. Here is what he wrote.

His response to the information that he is now one of the ministerial candidates sparked a lot of discussion on Twitter.
