Buharists now orphans in APC – Shehu Sani

Former lawmaker Shehu Sani has mocked former President Muhammadu Buhari’s camp in the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the resignation of Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman of the party.

DAILY POST reports that Adamu, the erstwhile APC chairman, tendered his resignation letter on Sunday night.

Following the development, Senator Abubakar Kyari, APC Deputy National Chairman (North), has taken over the affairs of the party.

Adamu is said to be an ardent supporter of the former president.

It was alleged that Adamu worked against the emergence of President Bola Tinubu prior to the presidential primaries and even after he emerged as the candidate of the party.

Sani, in a post his verified Twitter handle on Monday, following confirmation of Adamu’s resignation, made a veiled remark mocking Buhari’s supporters in the APC.

“The Buharists are now orphans; they are purged in their party,” he wrote.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, tendered his resignation last night, Daily Trust reliably gathered.

Credible sources confirmed to this paper that Adamu, who emerged as the national chairman at the party’s national convention held in March 2022, has sent his resignation letter to the Presidential Villa, Abuja ahead of the return of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the African Union (AU) meeting in Kenya.

One of the sources said Adamu, a former governor of Nasarawa State, sent the resignation letter to the Chief of Staff of the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, around 4pm on Sunday.

Yusuf Isah, a suspect arrested over the deadly attack on the convoy of a Nigerian cleric and founder of Omega Fire Ministry, Edo State, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has said that he was not aware of the identity of the sponsor of the attack.

The cleric was attacked in October 2022 in Edo State, during which a number of policemen who were his escorts were killed.

Arthur Eze Donates N100m To Ohanaeze Ndigbo

Oil magnet and philanthropist, Prince Arthur Eze (Ozoigbondu), has handed over a cheque of N100 million to the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

This, according to a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze, Dr Alex Ogbonnia, was in fulfilment of his earlier promise to the apex Igbo body in Abuja on July 10.

The statement quoted the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Atlas Oranto Petroleum ltd, as saying that the incumbent President General of Ohanaeze, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, should not be stressed or made to fund Ohanaeze from his personal pocket.
