Laolu Akande, who is the media aide to the former Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) failing to electronically transmit the results of the 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections has broken the trust of Nigerians.

Akande stated this while answering questions on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ programme on Friday.

According to Akande, INEC failed to fulfill its promise to upload polling unit results on their Result Viewing Portal.

“It is important to establish something we cannot basically run away from. INEC came out of this election as a damaged goods.

“There is no doubt about that. INEC itself set up a standard. INEC determined the guidelines. INEC committed to the people of Nigeria that this is how we are going to declare the result of this election

Pastor Chris Set To Host ‘Rhapathon’

Chris Oyakhilome, President of Loveworld and author of widely circulated and translated devotional Rhapsody of Realities is set to host ‘Rhapathon’.

Rhapathon is a 5-day event to visit in critical detail, the work of global evangelism using Rhapsody of Realities as a tool.

At a recently televised programme, he explained that Rhapathon is about “our evangelical work to the ends of the earth with Rhapsody of Realities, through different platforms in many ways; and of course, all languages of the earth.

“The various things we will be sharing will launch us into another level of soul-winning because we have to win this world for Jesus Christ”.

He further explained that Rhapathon is an event for Christians worldwide who are interested in global evangelization as mandated to us by Jesus Christ and encouraged Christians to be active for Christ.

Soludo Lays Foundation For Kojo Auto Assembly Plant.

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo has performed the groundbreaking ceremony for Kojo Motors Auto Assembly and Natural Gas Facility in Umunya, Oyi local government area of Anambra State.

A press statement by Christian Aburime, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Saturday noted that the plant is the second automobile company after Innoson Motors and first CNG manufacturing automobile company in the state, and will also house the first CNG station located at Umunya.

Performing the function, Governor Soludo said that it was a sign of progress for the state and a testament to the commitment of his administration to industrialisation.

The Governor revealed that the plant would create jobs and boost the economy of the state, urging other investors to come and invest in Anambra State.

“We have come today to celebrate something important to us. Our agenda is to be able to get our people; the most enterprising people on earth, from importation to production. This investment effort will satisfy the local market and export to the world,” Soludo stressed.

The Governor who inquired from the chairman of Kojo Motors on how quickly vehicle production will happen in the facility was informed that it would take six months.

Akeredolu’s Return: Testament Of Strength, Resilience – Tunji-Ojo.

The return of Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu from medical leave has been described as a testament of strength and resilience by the Minister of Interior, Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

This was contained in a congratulatory message of the Minister to the governor who arrived the country on Thursday from a three-month medical leave spent in Germany.
