Mixed Reactions as Bola Tinubu Appoints Wike as Minister of FCT & Dave Umahi as Minister of Works

Following the emergence and swearing-in of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th democratically elected president of Nigeria, several past leaders, including past governors, have been appointed to serve in various capacities as ministers for the good of his administration and the nation at large.

According to a report on Wednesday evening on the official Twitter handle of the Vanguard, it was confirmed that Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who also doubles as the immediate past governor of Rivers State, was elected to serve as the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In addition to this recent appointment, the immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, who also doubles as the chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dave Umahi, was appointed the minister of Works by the Tinubu-led administration.

The appointment of the immediate past governors of Rivers and Ebonyi states, Nyesom Wike and Dave Umahi, garnered a plethora of mixed reactions, as you will see in the pictures below.
