LP Chieftain, Kenneth Okonkwo Reacts After Tinubu Defeated Peter Obi At The Election Tribunal

A Chieftain of the Labour Party and former member of the defunct Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, Kenneth Okonkwo has reacted to the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja.

The Labour Party had earlier rejected the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja which favours President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recall that according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu defeated other strong contenders including Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP to clinch the apex political seat in the country.

The presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar challenged the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja and their petitions have been struck out by the court yesterday.

Kenneth Okonkwo, a Nollywood actor and legal luminary said on his verified Twitter page; “The PEPC judgement is inherently contradictory and illogical and if allowed to stand will destroy every achievement the Electoral Act,2022, was designed to achieve. This judgement will set us back to pre-1999 election era when manual collation was the albatross of our elections”

The recent tweet by the Labour Party Chieftain on his verified Twitter page has generated a lot of reactions from his fans and numerous followers on the social media platform.
