Fani Kayode Breaks Silence On The Allegation Against The Judges Of The Presidential Petition Court

Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Nigerian Minister of Culture and Tourism, also known as FFK, has broken his silence regarding allegations made against the judges responsible for the final ruling in the Presidential Petition Court during the February Presidential Election case. FFK took to social media to share his perspective on these allegations.

Furthermore, FFK posted photos of all the judges along with a caption addressing the accusation. He stated, “The allegation that the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court was written and drafted by the President’s lawyers or that they were given a copy before the judgment was formally delivered by the judges is simply absurd.”

He deemed this allegation as a severe and baseless attack on the integrity of the judiciary in the history of Nigeria. FFK expressed his belief that the wording at the top of a copy of the judgment, referring to the President’s lawyers, had been adequately explained by Babatunde Ogala SAN, who coordinates President Bola Tinubu’s legal team.

Additionally, he added that these allegations aimed to dismantle the entire system and create chaos because those making them knew they had lost the election and had no hope of winning at the Supreme Court. He accused them of trying to destabilize the nation by spreading propaganda, misinformation, and disinformation through social media, with the intention of inciting violence, treason, rebellion, revolution, and insurrection without just cause, ultimately undermining democracy.

In summary, Femi Fani-Kayode responded to the allegations against the judges, defended the judiciary’s integrity, and shared his perspective on the matter through social media.
