Fabian Adibe Praises Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Reveals Why He Stopped Acting

Veteran Nollywood actor Fabian Adibe has in an interview with the Cable, praised former governor of Lagos State and presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu for accommodating Ndi Igbo in the Lagos State civil service.

According to him, the polarized state of Nigeria has made the collective good and interest of the people relegated. He noted that his wife was sacked in the Enugu State civil service despite his being an Igbo person from Imo State as well as his wife who hails from Abia state.

“My wife was sacked in 1997 because she was a non-indigene in Enugu, despite being an Igbo woman from Abia State, married to an Imo State-born man. Back in our days, this wouldn’t have happened. Nigeria was one then.”

Fabian Adibe also disclosed that he quit the Nollywood because of the strange and exploitative doctrine of engagement by movie producers who in most times, hires them for three different movie -roles and pay for only two. According to him, the new trend in Nollywood is termed: “packaging”.
