Eseme Eyiboh Claims That Senators Has Not Been Paid Since They Got Inaugurated

A former member of the House of Representatives, Eseme Eyiboh, has stated that the N2 million holiday allowance which was given to members of the senate is a token which cannot do much for the senator and members of his constituency.

According to Honourable Eseme Eyiboh, senators has not received any salary or allowance in almost three months since they got into office.

Eseme Eyiboh said that when civil servants wants to go on a break or holidays, the government usually gives them different arrears and nobody talks about it.

Eseme Eyiboh was of the opinion that when’s senator gets back to his district, there are a lot of people he has to take care of and as such, the N2 million holiday allowance will not be able to sustain engagement due to the high level of hunger in the country. He also noted that the senators has done a lot to earn the N2 million holiday allowance.
