The Reverend Naomi Washington- Leapheart is an appointed minister who is a member of the Affirmative Ministries Fellowship, which she founded.
At the moment, she is the Faith Director for the National LGBTQ Working Group, which is the oldest LGBTQ advocacy organization in the United States, and which was founded in 1970. Besides being a minister, Reverend Washington- Lifat also serves as a professor of theology and religious studies at Villanova University.

A trailblazer in both her religion community and the broader social justice movement, Angel Kyodo Williams is a role model for young people everywhere. She identifies as a black, mixed- race, queer woman who practices Buddhism in the United States.
Only 3% of the people who practice this religion are black, according to statistics. She is just the second black woman to be accepted as a Japanese Zen teacher in the history of the discipline.
