Election Tribunal: Every Aspect Of The Petition Was Thrashed Deliberately' -LP Yunusa Tanko

Labour Party Chieftain Yunusa Tanko has alleged that every aspect of the petitions filed by Obi and the Labour Party was deliberately discredited and supported by other petitioners. He made these comments in response to the tribunal judgment delivered on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Tanko also mentioned that the Labour Party’s reaction would have been different if the judgment had been in their favor. During a program in a video (Watch The Full Video) on Channels TV, he stated, “Of course, it would have been different, but we would have preferred the judgment to be fair to all concerned. However, if you examine this particular case closely, every aspect of the petition was intentionally discredited and supported by various opposing parties.”

He raised questions about whether the judges’ judgment was influenced by anger towards these specific petitioners (Obi and LP).
