According to a news that was published by the Leadership paper online this evening, it was reported that the First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, has explained the reasons why she paid a courtesy visit on former President Muhammadu Buhari at his Daura residence in Katsina State.
It was reported that the First Lady, who was accompanied on the visit by the wife of the Vice President of the country, Nana Shettima, said the visit was to check on the former President and thank him for the fatherly support he gives always.
Leadership reported that in the statement that was issued by her media aide, Busola Kukoyi, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu prayed for long life, good health and more support from Muhammadu Buhari, not only for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu but for Nigeria as a whole.
However, in his brief remarks after the visit, former president Muhammadu Buhari, expressed his appreciation, as he noted that the visit, which was to see how he was settling down to life after public office, was remarkable.
Muhammadu Buhari said, “As you can all see, she came to check up on me, and see that I am doing okay.”
However, it was reported that some other people were also present during the meeting, as their names were given as the wife of the Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, and the wife of the Speaker, Katsina State House of Assembly, Nasir Daura, among other All Progressives Congress’ women in the state.
