“ECOWAS don't waste time to endorse and congratulate every rigged election in West Africa—Shehu Sani

The former senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Sen. Shehu Sani, has tackled the authority of states and governments of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS for always being at the forefront to endorse and congratulate rigged and fraud elections in West Africa. The former lawmaker in a post on his verified Twitter handle accuses the group of promoting election fraud among black race politicians.

This was coming after ECOWAS pledges to launch military inversion on the Niger Republic. President Mohammed Bazoum was ousted from office in a coup planned and executed by the head of the Presidential Guard, Maj. Gen. Abdourahamane Tchiani. Upon the incident, the chairman of ECOWAS, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered the coupist to, without condition, reinstate Bazoum into office or risk economic sanction and possible military inversion.

However, the human rights activist admonished the organization for promoting institutional coups in the region. In his words, he said for ECOWAS to endorse, commend, and write bulky reports in support of illegitimate government doesn’t usually give them a second thought. Stressing further, he said, there are moves to truncate democracy in Africa by desperate politicians without any effort to save the masses from bad governance, economic hardships, and unemployment.
