DSS Only Found N300,000 Cash And A Licence For Pump Action Gun In Emefiele's House – Kingdom Okere

The Convener of Lawyers in Defence of Democracy, Kingdom Okere, has accused the DSS of persecuting the suspended Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, without arresting and treating former president Muhammadu Buhari who gave Emefiele orders to carryout monetary policies he carried out.

According to Kingdom Okere, the DSS only found N300,000 cash and a license for pump action during their search in Emefiele’s house. Kingdom Okere wondered if the DSS is trying to tell Nigerians that Emefiele cannot have N300,000 in his house.

Kingdom Okere wondered why the DSS had to wait for one month after the arrest of Emefiele to charge him to court. Kingdom Okere maintained that any other item that comes up in the future as what was found in Emefiele’s house apart from N300,000 and licence for pump action should be disregarded.

Remember that the DSS was forced to charge Emefiele to court after a Federal High Court ordered the DSS to charge Emefiele to court within one week or let him go.
