I urged the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi & other Igbo stakeholders to support Tinubu -Umahi

The former Governor of Ebonyi State and current Minister of Works, David Umahi, has called upon the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and other stakeholders in Igbo land to support the administration of Bola Tinubu. Umahi noted that President Tinubu appointed an Igbo candidate to a prominent ministerial position, even though they didn’t vote in favor of him during the last election.

This statement was reported by Punch paper on Saturday, during Umahi’s visit to Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru as part of his state tour to inspect federal roads.

Governor Umahi expressed, “I urge the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and other Igbo stakeholders, to support Tinubu. The president gave us the foremost ministerial position even when we didn’t vote well for him.”

Additionally, Umahi emphasized that Bola Tinubu was chosen by divine providence to lead the country, a stance he has maintained since Tinubu’s assumption of the presidency.

It’s worth noting that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja recently upheld the results of the February 25th presidential election that brought Bola Tinubu to power. At present, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, is planning to challenge the outcome of the election in the Supreme Court.
