That was too arrogant to answer Nigerians that way-Nwokocha To Keyamo

The Senator representing the good people of Abia Central Senatorial Zone, Senator Darlington Nwokocha, has dragged the immediate past Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, noting that Keyamo was too arrogant when he was asked to explain to the national assembly how he spent the sum of ₦52 billion that was given to his ministry when he was the minister of State for Labour and Employment.

Speaking further, Senator Nwokocha made it known that he(Sen Nwokocha) was ready to walk away from the senate chamber if Festus Keyamo fails to explain to Nigerians how he spent such amount of money.

Senator Nwokocha made this disclosure at the senate chamber, when Mr Festus Keyamo, appeared before the national assembly in order for him to be cleared by the Senate, after he was nominated by the President to become a minister.

Senator Nwokocha said: “When he (Keyamo) was asked which indices he used to gain this and he said ‘they are not from the moon.’ That was too arrogant to answer Nigerians that way, because we are talking about what will help our people, that’s why we are here. Anything outside that, I will walk away from this chamber.”

Furthermore, the lawmaker made it known that they (senators) are at the Senate Chamber because of their interest and because of the interest of their people, stating it clearly that the right thing must be done.

Senator Nwokocha had earlier raised a motion at the senate chamber, demanding that Festus Keyamo should explain to the National Assembly and to Nigerians how he spent the sum of ₦52bn that was given to his ministry when he was still a junior minister.
