The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kano, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, has said that the party will reclaim more seats at the tribunal, including the seat of the governor.
Abbas said most of the candidates who claimed to have won the poll in the state on the New Nigeria Peoples Party platform actually did win the election on Thursday in response to the poll Petition Tribunal’s recent ruling.
Umar Yerima, who represented the Tarauni Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was dismissed on Thursday due to certificate fraud by the National and State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.
On the basis of the NNPP platform, Yerima was elected to the House of Representatives.
The NNPP’s House of Representatives, according to Ababas, has roughly five members who are accused of forging documents.
“We are sure that more seats will be awarded to the APC by the court at the conclusion of this case. Just getting started, really. By day’s end, we would have even reclaimed the governor’s office. The seats will be returned to their legitimate owners because they violated several laws and procedures governing the conduct of elections during the voting, said Abbas.
