In a tragic incident that shocked the Tamigbe town in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, gunmen killed a 60-year-old woman, Ebikabo-ere Oyas Officer, after allegedly collecting a ransom of one million naira from her family.
The victim was shot in the forehead, and her lifeless body was discovered by her family members between Beautiful Gate and Foutorugbene Road, near Tamigbe town.
According to reliable sources, the family of the deceased had paid the kidnappers the demanded one million naira before the discovery of her body. Ebikabo-ere, a respected businesswoman known for her large provision shop in the community, leaves behind a grieving family, including her husband and four children.
This tragic incident has left family members, friends, neighbours, and relatives in mourning.
