Davido Reacts As EFCC Drags Four Persons To Court Over Vote Buying For Oyetola

For trading votes on July 16, 2022, during the governorship election in Osun state, where Davido’ s uncle Ademola Adeleke and Governor Oyetola were leading candidates, the victims were charged on Monday before an Osogbo High Court presided over by Justice Mathias Agboola.

The defendants were allegedly caught swapping votes for money on July 16 at various voting places in the city of Osogbo, according to the EFCC.

According to the charge sheet, ” Adeyemo Bashiru Abiodun, Abidogun Ismail, and Jimoh Kazeem conspired to corruptly make money gifts to voters at unit 2, ward 2, Isale Odun, Oshogbo, Osun State, in order to induce them to procure the return of Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola to an elective office of the governor of Osun State.

In contrast, Nurudeen, who was charged separately, was alleged to have ” corruptly made monetary gifts to voters at polling unit 002, ward 8, Are Agbo Isale Agbara, on July 16, 2022, at Oshogbo within the judicial division of this honorable court, in order to induce them to procure the return of Adegboyega Oyetola to an elective office of governor of Osun State at the governorship election. ”
