Biden reacts to Wagner leader’s ‘death’, says little happens in Russia without Putin’s involvement

United States President Joe Biden says “little happens in Russia without the knowledge of Vladimir Putin”, in reaction to the reported death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner Group.
Earlier, Russia’s agency for air transport said Prigozhin, leader of the private security outfit, was among the passengers of a flight that crashed and burst into flames immediately on Wednesday.

All 10 passengers aboard the plane were reported dead.
Speaking with CNN, Biden said he wasn’t surprised that the Russian mercenary may have been targeted.
LG poll: Oyo APC reschedules primaries for Friday, Monday

On Wednesday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State announced a slight adjustment in the schedule of its primary for all chairmanship and councilorship aspirants who had been cleared to participate in the exercise.
According to a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of Oyo APC, Mr Olawale Sadare, the primary earlier scheduled for this Friday and next Monday will now take place.
In the new schedule, primaries in all the wards and local government areas in both Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial districts will be held on Friday, while all the wards and local government areas in Oyo South will be held next Monday.
Governor Bello Awards Scholarship To Cambridge Examinations Best Student

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has granted a scholarship to Miss Oluwabukolami Adeyemi, the recipient of the British Council Outstanding Cambridge Learner’s Award.
This award is in recognition of her remarkable performance in the 2022 Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge AS Level Examinations.
The governor received Oluwabukolami and her parents at his office in Lugard House, Lokoja, on Wednesday.
